Some mornings are pure chaos. You need coffee, but you have no time or appetite for food. So you slam an espresso, and 30 minutes later you’re a jittery, ravenous gremlin. This blended cappuccino fixes that. Here’s the trick: Make sure the coffee goes into the blender first. You want to cool it just enough to gently warm the yolk without cooking it. Pouring hot coffee directly over the egg is how you’ll end up with something that tastes more like a scramble than a heavenly, wake-up beverage. And if coffee’s not your thing? We’ve got variations for that too— London fog, matcha latte, and hot chocolate—all using the same nutrient-dense base. Pick your vibe and enjoy!

Method

  1. Starting with the coffee, add all ingredients to a blender.
  2. Blend on medium speed for about 30 seconds, until frothy.
  3. Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy.
  4. London Fog Variation: Swap the coffee for 6 ounces bergamot or black tea. Use raw milk or cream instead of coconut cream, and add 1 teaspoon cinnamon instead of ¼.
  5. Protein Matcha Variation: Use 6 ounces hot water mixed with 1 tablespoon matcha powder instead of coffee. Add 1 teaspoon coconut butter or grass-fed butter.
  6. Hot Chocolate Variation: Replace the coffee with 4 ounces warm water and 4 ounces milk. Add 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder in place of cinnamon.
